TestFlight scope
The current build is a controlled internal prototype. It may discover public web pages and show original, AI-assisted summaries with direct citations for testing. Inclusion of a domain or page is not a statement that Hypatia owns, endorses or has approved that source for production reuse.
What the app displays
- An original concise headline and summary generated for What’s News?.
- Direct links to the public pages supporting the summary.
- A visible AI disclosure and source attribution.
- No publisher images, full articles or substantial excerpts in the current TestFlight scope.
Rights controls
Web search is a discovery method, not a content license. Each candidate is evaluated against technical source rules before it can appear. Unknown or blocked domains, missing citations, unsafe URLs and withdrawn material are rejected. The strict production source allowlist is currently empty; source activation for public or commercial release requires separate owner and legal approval for the exact source, section and permitted uses.
Current source status
The TestFlight prototype may temporarily link to public pages discovered during a supervised test. Such links remain classified as internal prototype material and do not become production-approved sources. Legacy source ingestion is disabled, notifications are disabled, external news images are disabled, and sources marked for manual review remain disabled.
Corrections and rights requests
If a citation is incorrect, a link no longer supports a summary, or a rights holder requests review or removal, contact info@hypatia.site with the story title and source URL. Hypatia can withdraw the story and disable discovery through operational kill switches while the report is reviewed.
